Birth Education

Birth education is a very important part of midwifery care and is interwoven within prenatal care during pregnancy. Linda spends time during each prenatal visit to explain different choices available to birthing families. Linda provides information that empowers families to make informed decisions about the type of care they want. She also offers a seven week childbirth education series to prepare families for planned homebirths. Linda provides educational materials from her lending library and offers occasional film showings of natural childbirth, and waterbirths in out-of-hospital settings.
